The Mick and Rick Band - From Akron, Ohio

The Mick and Rick Band is a High Powered Classic Rock, Soul and Blues Band from Akron, Ohio.

Playing great songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s,
all five seasoned musicians are very professional and put on a show that will get you up on your feet.

Band Members are:
Mick Pera - Lead Vocals and Percussion
Rick Maselli - Guitar, Keyboards, Harmonica and Vocals
Paul Labin: Drums and Vocals
Rich Frank: Bass Guitar and vocals

Mick and Rick, the Duo, have been playing together since 2013. Over the years since we started playing together, we had discussed forming a full band many times. We got the chance in 2018 when Rick's cousin, Paul Labin, asked if he and Rich Frank, a bass player, could come over and jam with us.

Mick and Rick were excited to see what would happen when we took some of the songs we play as the Duo (where we use multiple pre-recorded tracks) and play them with three instruments and percussion. With Paul and Rich playing, it became apparent that the four of us could actually make these songs sound great.  After a few months of practice we played our first gig as The Mick and Rick Band and the response was amazing! Since 2018, we have been playing at quite a few venues and our fan base loves the band as much as they love the Duo.

In 2021, Jeff Curtis joined the band. Jeff is an accomplished keyboardist and vocalist. With Jeff, The Mick and Rick Band now has a bigger and fuller sound.
